FTE: 0.800000 Shift: Afternoons Location: RIVERSIDE MEDICAL CENTER Summary: The Laundry tech provides collection of soiled linen within the hospital. To provide clean, sanitary and stain-free linens for patients, residents, staff, and treatment centers. Services are provided to all health system locations as well as partner organizations in the area. Operate industrial sized washers and scale. Work with hazardous materials on a regular basis. Experience/Education Requirements:

Responsibilities:
  • Assists Laundry Aides and performs all laundry aides' duties.
  • Cleans work area, mahcines, and carts.
  • Collects, transports, and sorts soiled linen from areas.
  • Operating knowledge of all equipment, especially washers, washing formulas for wash cycles, and documents work.
  • Sorts soiled linens.
  • Unloads clean linens from washer.
  • Weighs and loads soiled linens into washer and documents.
  • Working knowledge of washing chemicals and measurements.
