Category Counselor - Licensed Description Licensed or Licensed-eligible individual as a LPC or LCSW needed for the position of COUNSELOR at the Laurels Recovery Center, a 16 bed residential crisis stabilization and detoxification program located in Lebanon, Virginia. This position provides counseling and treatment services to assist individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders to recover from crisis episodes. Responsibilities include providing clinical services (assessment, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, etc.) to individuals in the program. This position requires dedication to a recovery model for persons at risk of psychiatric hospitalization and/or relapse. This position will require flexible work hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays.Position Requirements Position Requirements: Incumbent must possess a Master's degree in a human services field AND be licensed or licensed-eligible, approved by the appropriate licensing authority. One year of clinical experience is required. Valid driver's license and good driving record also required. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
