Our firm is seeking a legal accountant or bookkeeper who can dive in to assist our growing team. You should have exceptional knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software, accounts receivable and payable, and financial transaction reports. If you are looking for an opportunity to play an important role that has a tremendous impact on the business, send us your resume today! • 15-20 hours per week during Pacific Time business hours • 100% remote option Responsibilities: • Prepare staff and attorney payroll, run annual W-2's and 1099's, and prepare tax filings • Adjust and reconcile general ledgers and prepare financial reports such as balance statements and income and loss statements • Maintain both accounts receivable and accounts payable and process monthly invoices for clients • Adjust and reconcile firm accounts, client trust accounts and ensure IOLTA compliance • Track expenses and prepare financial statements • Prepare and analyze budget reports • Assist with semi-annual budget planning and forecasting • Process payroll and maintain payroll records • Create comprehensive financial reports for management review • Respond to client and staff concerning payroll and invoices Qualifications: • Jobseekers should have outstanding attention to detail, analytical skills and communication skills with the ability to work accurately and thrive in a high-pressure work environment • Capable of maintaining strict confidentiality dealing with financial data • Expert in MS Excel, data entry, and accounting software • High school diploma or equivalent, plus some college is preferred - bachelor's degree is a plus • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, law firm experience preferred
