- The Licensed Clinical Social Worker must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with all employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong phone etiquette, typing, filing, and customer service skills. Able to interpret and apply instructions, guidelines, and policies, including gathering, organizing, and compiling factual material.
- Develops treatment plans by assessing the client's willingness to accept different types of assistance and making ongoing decisions about services and referrals using available resources.
- The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides clinical services including assessment, referral, case management, and psychoeducation for individuals and groups. Offers individual, family, and group psychotherapy for serious medical and mental health issues. Refers clients to other agencies, community resources, or governmental services as needed.
- Employs methods and techniques to establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship that will help the client work towards the best way of dealing with his/her problems.
- Evaluates goal progress, follows up on referrals, adjusts treatment plans as needed, monitors client progress, keeps detailed case documentation, ensures expert diagnosis and treatment, and exercises discretion in modifying treatment.

LCSW - REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited school of social work.
- Must have a full, unrestricted LCSW license to practice in the State of California.
- Must have a minimum of twelve continuous months of experience, providing mental health services, working with Veterans, Veterans issues, and coordinating with the VA for Veteran Care.
