About the Role:

Join our rapidly growing R&D team as a Lead Analytical Chemist at GEA Group, Farm Technologies. We are one of the leading suppliers of dairy cow hygiene products inNorth America. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead analytical projects, design and validate testing methods, manage lab resources, and implement new HPLC systems. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate analytical methods for testing raw materials and finished products.

  • Manage laboratory resources, including equipment, chemicals, and supplies, to ensure efficient operation.

  • Purchase instruments and implement systems for HPLC, ensuring the lab is equipped with the latest technology.

  • Lead and coordinate R&D Analytical projects from conception to completion.

  • Design and execute experiments, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and product development.

  • Conduct tasks such as analyzing competitor sample products and provide technical expertise to support Sales.

Your Profile / Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Educational Background: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory, preferably within the pharmaceutical, veterinarian, or hygiene industries.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in analytical methodology and analysis, specifically HPLC and GC; and wet chemistry techniques. Knowledge of FT-IR and potentiometric titrations is a plus.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with GLP, GMP, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Leadership: Proven experience as a Lead Analytical Chemist or experience leading R&D projects within a chemical laboratory.
