About the Role:

AVA Energy is partnering with a top Clean Energy IPP to find a Lead Counsel who is passionate about renewable energy and ready to drive impactful legal strategies. This role offers an opportunity to influence business growth and sustainability at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide leadership on legal and regulatory matters essential to renewable energy growth.
• Draft and negotiate complex commercial, real estate, and financial contracts.
• Shape project finance structures, including SPVs and power purchase agreements.
• Collaborate across departments to advance compliance and strategic initiatives.
• Mentor junior legal staff, ensuring excellence and alignment with goals.

Qualifications:

• JD with active state bar membership.
• 8+ years in-house or firm experience; renewable energy/clean tech experience preferred.
• Strong background in contract, commercial, and energy law.
