Pay Rate: Starting at $19.00/hr.

Job Type: Part Time

Who you are:

* High School Diploma/GED and/or comparable related work experience

* Minimum of one year of experience required in food service in health care setting

* Ability to speak, read, and write English

* Ability to identify, address and resolve dining room issues when appropriate

* Must be able to direct and advise dining servers

Job Summary:

The Lead Diet Aide shall be administratively responsible to the Health Center Dietary Manager. The Lead Diet Aide will assist in any and all areas of dietary and dining room procedures and operations to ensure maximum quality service to residents and their guests. Must be able to work under pressure and be alert to the demands of our residents.

Essential Job Duties:

* Responsible for updating resident information in the computerized menu program including but not limited to: menu preferences, like and dislikes and allergy information

* Assist in orientation and training of Health Center dietary staff

* Participates in set up, service, and breakdown of special functions

* Assist Health Center Dietary Manager in monitoring performance and enforcing dress code of Health Center dietary staff

* Inspects dining room and Health Center kitchen for cleanliness, orderliness, security, and safety of residents and staff

* Communicates with residents during meal hours on dining issues. Responsible for obtaining initial food preferences from new residents

* Maintains open communication with immediate supervisor, co-workers and other departments

* Has a thorough understanding of modified and special diets
