Position SummaryThe Lead Dispatcher works to direct the day-to-day route, scheduling and trip operations. This role will ensure effective communication with the Client and will assist with organizing and conducting activities to assure safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance. The Lead Dispatcher will also finalize the next day routes and Operators schedules, track and report sign-in and sign-out times, assure routes are timely, and communicate service issues to the appropriate personnel. This work is done in compliance with the procedures defined by the client and in conformance with company procedures, which involves daily communication and interaction with drivers.Essential FunctionsCommunicate with the General Manager on any scheduling issuesAssist with confirming and finalizing the next days route/driver schedulesCoordinate accidents, incidents, and breakdowns with leadership anddriversInform team ahead of time of route closures and late pull-outProvide guidance and training to Dispatch teamSupervise pull-out and ensure all routes leave the base on-timeEnsure pre-and post-trip inspections are completedCommunicate with team on any issue that may affect service such as op-erator callouts, etc.Assist lost drivers as neededCheck-in drivers after routes have been completedEnsure drivers are documenting trip information and mileage on trip-sheetsEnsure there are sufficient vehicles to match scheduled routes, as well assufficient drivers for all routes at pull-outMake driver and vehicle reassignments as neededCommunicate with maintenance staff, as neededEstablish and maintain effective communication with DriversReport and record all incidents to the applicable managerAssist with all phone call information, dispatching of rides, and schedulingtripsDocument and report provider no shows or on-time-performance issuesAssist in completion of monthly reporting as neededMonitor radio, telephones and on-road provision of service for qualityKnowledge, Skills, and CompetenciesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood organizational skills with attention to timeliness and detailsKnowledge of GPS and GIS systems preferredMust be able to demonstrate effective use of scheduling software, two-wayradio communication and data analysis skillsSkills in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and otherMicrosoft applicationsAbility to maintain high level of confidentialityRegular attendance is requiredEqual Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identityMinimum Salary: 0.00 Maximum Salary: 0.00 Salary Unit: Yearly
