About the Role:We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Educator to join our Early Childhood Education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children, working collaboratively with the team to develop and implement engaging learning programs, and building positive relationships with families and the community.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate learning programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community
  • Lead a team of educators and provide support, guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with families to support their child's learning and development
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and legislation
  • Attend regular professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with current best practices and industry trends
  • Participate in reflective practices to continuously improve the quality of care and education provided
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working as a Lead Educator in an Early Childhood Education setting
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and the community
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to lead, support and mentor a team of educators
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Sound understanding of child development and the ability to tailor learning programs to meet individual children's needs
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
Desirable:
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training
  • Experience working with children with additional needs
