Description JOB PURPOSE & MISSION Supports BRGFit and BRGP Sports Medicine to implement health and fitness programs associated patient-care initiatives, community partnerships, and athletic performance programs. Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to: 1. Develop Health and Fitness programs for employees, community partners, and BRG/BRGP patients.
  • Development of strength and conditioning, general fitness, injury prevention, and wellness programs using evidence-based practices for various patient populations.
  • Implement safe exercise techniques and assigned programming to improve health and wellness outcomes.
  • Facilitate screening procedures to determine the efficacy of exercise programming and modifications
  • Assist with employee health initiatives including but not limited to unit stretching, rounding, and biometric screenings.
  • Work collaboratively with Health & Wellness staff, Sports Medicine Director, and BRGP physicians
  • Engage and collaborate with partners/affiliates interested in implementing athletic performance and injury prevention programs
2. Coordinate administrative activities for BRGFit on-site locations and assist in the development of health and wellness programs for special projects.
  • Assist in maintaining operating and a clean fitness center, tracking/updating inventory.
  • Assist in progressing health & wellness programs for GHS employees and external partners/affiliates
  • Develop and implement new procedures and programs, as needed.
  • Attend and assist in fitness-related employee educational seminars
  • Maintain strong relationships with partners, corporate clients, and GHS affiliates.
  • Promote BRGFit within the GHS community and encourage health and fitness amongst employees.
3. Performs all other duties as assigned. HIPAA & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS HIPAA - Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to: Medical records without limitation both paper and electronic, patient demographics, lab and radiology results, patient information related to surgery or appointment schedules, medical records related to quality data, patient financial information, patient billing 3rd party, patient related complaints, information related to patient location, patients' religious beliefs, and/or research information. SAFETY - Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable safety practices appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to:Incident reporting, PPE, exposure control plans, hand washing, environment of care, patient identification, administers medications, validates, transports, monitors or observes patients for procedures including infusion pumps, and monitors clinical alarms. Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS Experience Required: 3 years of strength and conditioning coaching experience Preferred:
  • 4-5 years of professional experience coaching on a collegiate or professional strength & conditioning staff
  • 2+ years working in a leadership role in collegiate/professional setting
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field Preferred: Master's Degree in a related field Certifications & Licensure Required:
  • Current CSCS or CSCCa certification
  • CPR/AED Certification
Special Skills or Knowledge Required:
  • Medium strength is required to position patients for screening
  • Lifting 100 pounds maximum with lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds
