Job Description :
The Lead Inventory Analyst is responsible for analyzing demand signals and generating vendor purchase orders, as well as supporting the supply chain team in inventory reporting and management. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer's demand forecast to compare to current inventory levels and incoming purchase orders.
  • Make purchasing decisions based on lead times from vendors and inventory parameters set by Supply Chain Manager.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Manager to problem solve on inventory pipeline issues.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales to maintain a steady supply pipeline for customer's demand, but also in sync with corporate inventory guidelines.
  • Analyze demand forecast changes and how that affects the inventory supply both short and long term.
  • Analyze planned purchase orders in net requirements to determine if a vendor purchase order for raw material should be placed.
  • Create and maintain master planning item setup settings.
  • Collaborate with sales, QA, purchasing, and quoting to set up new items with correct master planning item settings.
  • Create, maintain, and run inventory reports on a regular consistent basis.
  • Look at creative opportunities with old/obsolete material to reapply for other customers.
  • Maintain raw material purchasing levels per the inventory guidelines given by Supply Chain Manager
Education and Experience:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Math, or Business in a related field of study preferred.
  • 1-2 Years of experience preferred in Supply Chain Role
  • Prior experience working in an ERP environment (ex. Microsoft AX, SAP, etc.) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Advanced Excel skills required (ex. Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word & Outlook.
  • Analytical & detail oriented.
  • Strong math related skills required.
  • Ability to collaborate with a multitude of team members inside the company and out.
