Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Logistics and Transportation Coordinator at Brookwood Farms BBQ in Siler City, NC. The coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day operations management, coordinating transportation, ensuring efficient communication, and providing excellent customer service within the transportation department.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate weekly outbound orders to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Plan transportation and distribution routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Track & trace orders to monitor progress and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and internal policies.
  • Manage transportation documentation, including bill of ladings, shipping manifest, and other required paperwork.
  • Building shipping lanes and negotiate competitive rate with carriers.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments and logistics-related activities.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management or a related field.
  • Associate's degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, or related field is a plus
  • Strong understanding of forecasting to anticipate logistical needs and operations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Outlook
  • Experience with SAGE or shipping modular programs
  • Experience working with vendor portals for order processing and tracking.
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools
