Job Description

The Lead Lounge Attendant oversees the food and beverage services in the 6 donor lounge spaces including inventory stocking, tracking, and coordination of inventory purchases and scheduling, training, and supervision of Lounge Attendants. Primary focus is on the three Circles Lounges to ensure that hospitality industry standards are maintained and all Lounge Attendants receive supervision and support. The Lead Lounge Attendant is an important part of the Development Department's donor stewardship efforts, ensuring friendly, polite, and convenient service is always provided by the Lounge Attendants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train, schedule, discipline and supervise lounge attendants; maintain SOPs; report to Manager, Lounge Operations on absences and elevated concerns for staff improvement as needed.
  • Track and monitor lounge inventory needs for the 6 donor lounges. Report purchases to the Manager, Lounge Operations. Receive and stock inventory, maintaining clear organization in the tight kitchen and storage spaces.
  • Ensure donors are receiving elevated food and beverage service pre-show and during intermission, including preparation of complimentary bar drinks and serving light food and snacks.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and stocked bar during shifts. Ensure lounges are open for intermission(s) and then appropriately cleaned-up after final intermission.
  • Other duties as assigned, including set up for cultivation events, Trustee/Green Room receptions, executing tastings or other hospitality events, and VIP lounge service as needed.
  • Maintain clean and healthy environment in the lounges.
  • Form appropriate relationships with regular lounge guests, making them feel welcomed in the lounges.

Key Qualifications

  • High School Education
  • At least one year experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or service industries preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and professionalism are essential.
  • Polite, sociable personality.
  • Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Candidate must be local to the DMV area.

This position frequently lifts, carries, or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
