This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Plumbing Engineer for our Minneapolis, MN office location to work with our Property & Buildings Team.

Your Impact

* Prepare basic deliverables and products including calculations, drawings, and specifications

* Set deadlines and assigns responsibilities

* Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects

* Design plumbing and fire protection systems including calculations of preliminary water, gas, sanitary/sewer and storm loads while adhering to the firm's QA/QC process

* Develop project specifications

* Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss future and or current projects

* Responsible for meeting the client's project goals and objectives

* Represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with owners, architects, vendors, other design professionals and contractors

* Assist in business development by pursuing new work including participation in client presentations

* Assist in the firm's human resource efforts through training and mentoring junior firm members

* Enhances the firm's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing internal and external client requests

* Demonstrates core values and serves as a role model/mentor to all firm members

* Updates job knowledge and technical expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in technical organizations and obtaining certifications in area of expertise and participating in the firm's Technical Committee as requested

* Perform other duties as assigned

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline.

* 10+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering discipline and prior plumbing and mechanical design experience.

* Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards

* Possess clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment

* Ability to consistently set goals and meet deadlines and adapt to flexible responsibilities

* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

* Experience with Horizon or Project Resource Management software is preferred

* Ability to meet and exceed client expectations

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's Degree in Engineering.

* LEED certification desired.

* 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred.

* Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $125,200 - $169,100

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
