Job DescriptionThe Expeditor Lead is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of all expediting activities, ensuring the communication, maintenance, and update of supplier delivery commitments as noted in the contract/purchase order is achieved. The Expeditor Lead is responsible for optimizing supplier performance through analysis of company data and communication with the expeditors and buyers. In conjunction with the Procurement Team, this position assists in the assessment of current and future potential suppliers, as well as recommending, planning, and coordinating solutions for supplier performance issues that are impeding delivery of quality product to CPI. Coordinates and dispatches field technical support as well and provides input to supplier performance ratings and sourcing posture and relevant decisions, all in accordance with company directives and work instructions.Required Qualifications:Plan, direct, and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the expediting team.Ensure Suppliers maintain negotiated commitments via the Purchase Order.Communicate changes to those commitments via CPI tools.Review Supplier Performance Metrics, Critical Items Reports with Expediting to seek out trends.Ability to effectively analyze supplier performance issues and recommend corrective measures where necessary.Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, develop remedial action plans where required, and make recommendations to the Procurement Team to maximize Supplier performance.Establish and maintain effective, positive working relationships with suppliers.Apply knowledge of root cause analysis.Apply knowledge of manufacturing.Knowledge of procured commodities within the aerospace and defense industry and familiarity with associated manufacturing processes.Demonstrated ability to prepare and brief supplier performance reports and other performance measures.Organizes and facilitates the material receipts weekly meeting, tracking and reporting receipts for the current quarter.Education/Experience:5-10 years' experience.Associates Degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience.The salary range for this position is: $56,000-$84,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and other factors allowed by law.
