Fortress Power is seeking an experienced Lead Product Engineer to join our growing team! This individual will lead the design, development, and implementation of energy storage systems. They will play a pivotal role in the growth of renewable energy by providing safe and reliable energy storage solutions. The ideal candidate can work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and use an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Full product life cycle engineering technical support for the company.
- Staying current with advancements in energy storage technologies and regulations.
- Defining and implementing technical requirements for energy storage products/projects. Communicating technical information to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
- Facilitate and drive New Product Development Projects with hardware and software R&D Teams.
- Understand testing standards and reports and list new products per regional requirements.
- Overseeing functional integration level testing and participating in New System Testing
- Evaluate and implement Product Improvement Project and ECR.
- Review and approve Product Technical Documents and manage document storage/distribution.
Qualifications:
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background
- Residential Solar System Design/Deployment experience
- PV Inverter and Battery experience required
- Knowledge of energy storage systems, battery technology, and power electronics
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to energy storage
- Professional engineer documentation skills
- Strong understanding of the product development process
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills, analytical, and problem solving skills
