Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Leading the main QC Laboratory priorities to meet production needs.
  • Supporting special requests, equipment troubleshooting, and training of laboratory practices.
  • Performing complex tests, and/or experiments and analyses of materials and product samples in the main QC Laboratory to ensure quality products using various testing methodologies and equipment.
  • Providing analyses based on a complete understanding of quality procedures, basic statistics, techniques, products, and equipment and knowledge of the production operation. Recommending changes in procedures and standards as required.
  • Conducting training for QC technicians when issued on-the-job (OTJ) checklists and ensuring competency and timely completion of OTJs. Assisting in training in basic quality principles and procedures.
  • Performing calibration and preventive maintenance of test equipment and standardization procedures before its use.
  • Communicating results to appropriate staff. Setting priorities within the framework of requests or production needs. May coordinate and review work for other technicians.
  • Participating as a team member on problem-solving teams, test method development, or coordinate special requests/PPE.QualificationsYour skills and expertise to set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of three (3) years Quality Technician experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing facility.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Work flexible shifts that would provide some coverage over both day and night to support 4-crew operations.
  • Working knowledge/experience with laboratory equipment (Instrons, balances, ovens, spectrometer).
