Gosnold welcomes like-minded individuals who are passionate about our mission to support people and families affected by these disorders, and to promote lasting recovery.SUMMARY:The Lead Recovery Aide will assist in admitting patients and performing all tasks related to standard admission practices including contraband searches, assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and other related patient care functions. This role requires the ability to relate with patients in a treatment setting and be committed to excellent patient service. The Lead Recovery Aide will have demonstrated leadership and organizational skills sufficient to oversee the RA staff in the absence of a supervisor.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform tasks including, but not limited to recovery-oriented socialization, patient transportation, coordinate recreational activities, facilitate patient educational groups, recovery discussions, attend case reviews, and report observations about patient activities to ensure synchronized service delivery.
  • Prepare required electronic data management forms, records and other documentation, as required.
  • In the absence of the department supervisor, provide oversight and supervision of the RA staff.
  • Participate in orientation of new Recovery Aides.
  • Monitor patient supplies and initiate purchase orders as necessary.
  • Attend in service training programs.
  • Abide by the professional staff code of ethics.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, Experience, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or related discipline and/or licensure in addiction or social work. Two (2) years of experience in an addiction program may be substituted for the academic requirements.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of experience in addiction or mental health treatment (including internship or practicum).
  • Skills: Knowledge of basic treatment concepts and ability to lead recovery-oriented discussion groups. Electronic data management and computer literate.
  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid Massachusetts driver's license.
