Job Type Full-timeDescriptionGateway Rehab Center (GRC) has an outstanding opportunity in Washington, PA for a Lead Safety and Security Monitor who is responsible for coordination of the safety and security function at the assigned program location and supervision of the Safety Monitors at the instruction and direction of Safety and Security Supervisor. This position supervises the Safety and Security monitors, on off shifts, or absence of the safety and security supervisor, and after business hours primarily. This position receives regular instruction and supervision from the Safety and Security Supervisor and the Regional Director of Security on as needed bases.ResponsibilitiesReviews, analyzes, records, and files daily safety and security reports.Ensures that safety and security staff follow all policies and procedures related to program operationsComplete daily walk-through inspections of the facility and all patient areas to assure compliance with program expectations.Facilitates safety and security events and reports, including property and visual searches, k-9 searches, fire drills etc.Helps manage and prepare the weekly work schedules for safety and security staff.Supervises the safety and security staff with the safety and security supervisor.Trains new safety and security staff and provides ongoing training for current staff.Conducts routine shift meetings with safety and security staff on duty.When needed, reviews safety and security staff timecards for accuracy, verifies hours worked are noted correctly, paid time off hours are recorded accurately, timecard is accurate, etc. Intervenes and communicates appropriately when an employee demonstrates poor work performance to the safety and security supervisor.Assists the safety and security supervisor with the site's compliance with regulatory body standards and regulations as related to the safety and security function.Provides coverage for the safety and security monitor positions as needed.Provides coverage for the safety and security supervisor as neededWorks with the support staff on special projects related to program operations as needed.All other duties needed to complete necessary tasks and job responsibilities. Attends mandatory GRC trainings and in-services.Attends Mandatory X-Ray body and Luggage scanner trainings as needed.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of 12 step programs.Good de-escalation skills. Computer literacy is a must.Verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills required.Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Chemical dependency treatment experience Preferred RequirementsPrior supervisory experience.Two years of security related work experience. Chemical dependency treatment experience. Other RequirementsPA Criminal History Record check, Childline, and FBI clearances.Valid driver's license and favorable driving record.
