Pay Range:$30.00 Per Hour - $45.00 Per Hour, based on experience.Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance, 401(k) with 401k match, and paid sick and vacation time.Location:Based out of Rochester, NY, working at various job sites on appointments in Rochester and the surrounding cities.Role Summary:The Lead Security Alarm Technician is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced security systems, including alarm systems, intelligent video verification, access control, and UL listed engineered fire alarm systems. This role involves leading and guiding our technical team, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope, and delivering exceptional service to clients. The Lead Technician is also tasked with troubleshooting complex system issues, staying current on emerging technologies, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction are key components of this role.Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage security system installation projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
- Provide guidance and technical support to junior technicians. Conduct on-the-job training to enhance team skills and ensure best practices are followed.
- Service, install and test Commercial and Residential integrated systems including but not limited to: Access Control, IP Video, Intrusion Alarm, & Fire/Life Safety.
- Provide technical support to customers including, but not limited to, field & remote programming of a variety of systems that we provide and support, and troubleshooting of any issues related to the systems installed.
- Research and test new integrated security products and related equipment
- Installation and programming of commercial and residential Fire Systems
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3+ years of previous alarm installation and service experience
- Comfortable working with technology and self-motivated to learn
- Must maintain a clean, professional image with external and internal customers
- Ability to travel as required (no overnight travel)
- Ability to work overtime as required and participate in on-call schedule after six-months
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Must possess and maintain a clear driver's license and safe driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) year Associate's Degree
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (preferred but not required)
