Job DescriptionCherokee Casino Tahlequah is searching for a Lead Security Guard to join our winning team! In this role you will ensure the safety and security of our guests, employees, and valuable assets across our diverse properties, including casinos, smoke shops, and parking lots. This is your chance to be the frontline hero, upholding our brands experience with professionalism, courtesy, and a watchful eye.Responsibilities
  • Respond to incidents and, when needed, jump in with your CPR and first-aid skills.
  • Stop guests from bringing in anything that could disrupt the fun (think glass bottles, not lucky charms).
  • Work with other departments to make sure security is everywhere it needs to be.
  • Action Hero on Patrol: Deploy your security team to ensure a prompt response to any calls for help and follow up to make sure everything's resolved.
  • Strategically position your team for maximum coverage, keeping the casino safe and sound.
  • Coordinate and respond swiftly and calmly during any emergencies, keeping everyone safe.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local law enforcement, fire, and safety departments - teamwork makes the dream work!
  • Write detailed reports of incidents, following all the rules and regulations.
  • Make sure all reports from your team are clear and accurate and share them with the right people.
  • Help manage employee access to secure areas and run reports when needed.
  • Ensure everyone entering the casino meets the legal age requirements, checking IDs like a pro.
  • Be prepared to tackle any other security-related challenges that come your way.
Qualifications
  • We're looking for someone with a minimum of a high school diploma and at least 3 years of security or law enforcement experience.
  • State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) Armed Security Guard License.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
  • A valid driver's license is essential for ensuring swift response and assistance across properties.
  • Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license required.
