This is a direct hire Lead Sheet Metal Fabricator position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.Benefits:• Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance• Short Term Disability Insurance• Life Insurance• 401(K) with 100% match up to 3%, 50% match for the next 2%• Paid Time Off• 6 Paid Holidays• Profit Sharing PlanDetails:• Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30, with OT potential • $28-32/hr. based on skills and experience• Allendale, MIPosition Information:• Ensure team members adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures and provide training and guidance to new employees.• Assist in resolving production issues and bottlenecks while monitoring and maintaining inventory of tools and materials.• Communicate effectively with team members • Operate metalworking machines such as shears, brakes, punches, drill presses, and CNC equipment to cut, bend, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.• Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering, and similar equipment to fabricate products such as ventilation shafts, exhaust hoods, partition frames, dust collection piping, and material handling systems.• Inspect product quality to ensure 100% conformity to specifications and maintain production pace throughout the shift.Required Experience:• Proven experience in a role with strong leadership and team management skills.• Excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, and knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.• MIG welding various mild steel including 16 gauge, ¼”, 3/8”, ½”.• TIG/Stick welding experience is a plus.• Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings, sketches, and work specifications.• Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and strong math skills.• Weld fabrication experience with sheet metal and structural welding is required, must pass weld test• HS Diploma or equivalent, and ability to work overtime as needed.• Have own toolsClick on Apply Now for instant consideration for this Lead Sheet Metal Fabricator position in Allendale, MI.
