Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Lead Siemens PLC Engineer to join our team in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing PLC systems in a regulated environment, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance are met throughout the process.Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC programs for manufacturing processes using Siemens technology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and debug existing PLC systems and HMI/SCADA interfaces to ensure optimal performance.
- Lead commissioning activities for new and modified systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on PLC and control systems to enhance functionality and reliability.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on PLC programming and systems integration.
- Ensure documentation is complete and up-to-date, including system designs, validations, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in PLC programming and controls engineering, preferably in pharmaceutical, med device or biotech manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of Siemens PLC systems and HMI/SCADA software.
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging control systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical manufacturing (OSHA, FDA, cGMP).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work well in a team and drive projects to completion.
