$130,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Java Software Engineer in Grapevine, TX. This position will sit onsite 5 days per week. In this role, you will join early in their digital transformation or metamorphosis. We need an Engineer who knows how to build and scale software systems. This team is in startup mode and is looking for a passionate Engineer who are motivated drivers up to the task. What you'll do:

• Help envision and set up a modern technology stack (cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, service-oriented architecture, etc.) to lay the foundation for robust system development
• Architect, design, and build critical back-end systems, such as payments and transaction technologies
• Work with a modern technology stack (cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, service-oriented architecture, etc.)
• Be an advocate for engineering best practices

• 10+ years of software development experience, with 4+ years cloud experience
• History of progression from Software Engineer up through technical leadership levels
• Experience in system design, specifically scaling systems
• Strong experience as an owner of major technical projects
• Eagerness to solve complex technical problems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Solid E-Commerce and/or Retail technology experience
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience
• Deep expertise in Java/Spring
