I am partnering with a start-up with the backing of a prominent VC fund and two of the best engineering leaders in the market. The company is looking to hire a hands-on staff-level engineer in New York. This firm operates in the Quantitative Research sector but distinguishes itself through an innovative approach that diverges from traditional industry practices.

In this role, you will;

• Design, implement, and scale critical back-end engineering components and services to support the team's strategic research initiatives. You'll focus on building robust, high-performance software that powers the business, ensuring scalability and reliability as the company grows.
• Offer technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to enhance individual team members' skills and boost overall team performance and success.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand business needs and technical requirements, assess trade-offs, and deliver scalable solutions that align with business objectives. Ensure seamless communication throughout the development process to enable the creation of innovative back-end products and services.

Your Expertise;

• 5+ years of software development experience in a fast-paced tech environment, with proven expertise in designing and implementing back-end systems within large-scale, service-oriented architectures.
• Experience in technical leadership/ownership and setting technical direction for engineering projects
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier institution.
