LEAD TEACHER (INFANT TODDLER)Salary: $20.96 - $30.77 hourlyJoin a Team Where your Work Truly Makes a Difference.At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower, and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community-based services.The Infant Toddler Teacher is an imaginative person with the interest and ability to care for and teach children six weeks to three years old. Knowledge of recent developments in the field of Early Childhood Education, particularly as it relates to the proper education of children of low-income families and dual-generational programming is essential. The Infant Toddler Teacher will implement integrated quality service delivery in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards, DOH's Article 47 Guidelines, and CMCS' ECED policies and procedures, recognizing the individual differences and needs of the children's culture, language, and special abilities. Responsibilities include establishing daily routines and appropriate transitions, ensuring nurturing and responsive practices, interactions, and environments that foster trust and emotional security for children, and utilizing child development databases (TSG) and Head Start database (Childplus) with accuracy on a weekly basis.Requirements:Caring, upbeat personalityBachelor's degree with a concentration in Early Childhood DevelopmentAssociate Degree in Early Childhood Education study plan eligiblePrevious experience in a Head Start Program or other Early Childhood Setting is preferredTwo years' work experience meeting position competencies is preferredAdditional Requirements:Daily access to reliable transportation to Bronx, NY.
