Location: Hattiesburg Position: Warehouse Lead Reports To:Shift Supervisor and Operations Manager Date: 8/25/17JOB SUMMARYUnder the supervision of the Shift Supervisor and Operations Manager, the Warehouse Lead person directs the operational activities of the Warehouse to include scheduling, training and supervising.JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Note: The job functions relate to the job, not the individual)1.Understand, follow, and enforce all established safety, health, quality, Food Safety, GMP and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.2.Assist in training warehouse employees.Monitor and report performance of each assigned warehouse employee.Provide leadership and direction to warehouse employees.3.Under minimum supervision, prioritize, coordinate and assign daily warehouse work to department staff.Ensure that employees fully understand and correctly complete the work assigned.4.Fully utilize personnel at all times (i.e., cleaning, organizing warehouse, rework, assisting with facility improvement projects, helping out wherever needed, etc.).5.Record problems and provide detailed documentation of solution and/or procedures performed.Process all other necessary reports.6.Ensure warehouse equipment and inventory are maintained.Ensure that warehouse is kept in an orderly fashion and follows all government agencies and company standards for safety and sanitation.7.Assist Shift Supervisor in the system evaluation process, planning and personnel issues.May suggest design changes or recommend improvements in warehouse procedures.8.Communicate with outside vendors on details pertaining to shipping and receiving and on maintenance and repairs of material and equipment.9.Ensure that a clean and orderly work area is maintained and that all quality and safety procedures are followed.Report all unsafe operating conditions, practices and personnel to supervisor.10.Ensure work area meets 5S guidelines.11.Maintain all required warehouse documentation.JOB DUTIES/MARGINAL FUNCTIONS (Not fundamental job duties)1.Perform the duties of warehouse personnel in their absence.2.Prepare packages and paperwork for common carriers.QUALIFICATIONS1.Requires education generally equivalent to four years of high.Requires five years= experience in a warehouse environment to become familiar with products, equipment and processes.2.Requires the ability to train and guide employees and ensure quality performance and standards.Good leadership, verbal and written communication skills are required.3.Requires the ability to operate a forklift and to obtain a forklift operators license.Must be able to lift 70 pounds, and tolerate exposure to factory noise, and changing climate conditions.4.Requires computer skills.JOB DISCLAIMER This list of job duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.Wis-Pak is an equal opportunity employer that complies with EEOC rules and regulations.
