Position Description Lead Technician for water, mold, bio (including trauma) mitigation categories leads, monitors, performs, and inspects remediation tasks. Lead Technicians coordinate assigned projects and prepare documentation (notes and photos) according to company and insurance policies procedures and compliance. Lead Technician represents the ServiceMaster Cornerstone brand to the customer and supervises technicians on assigned projects. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Retrieves work orders/assignments, checks route for travel, ensures appropriate equipment and supplies needed for a job are loaded on the truck needed for the job, and arrives at the work site
  • Leads and supervises water/mold/bio (trauma) remediation on assigned projects as directed according to company procedures including but not limited to extraction, debris removal/disposition, demolition, and cleaning
  • Explains processes to be used and process sequence to customers
  • Ensures project completion and performs daily monitoring, moisture mapping, and documentation on assigned water residential and/or commercial projects according to insurance0 industry guidelines
  • Understand the differences between insurance carriers
  • Inspects jobs after completion and obtains customer signature of approval.
  • Prepares documentation, moisture points, atmospherics, and pictures according to company policies and procedures
  • Completes sketches and scoping to produce project estimates using Xactimate
  • Resolves customer or project issues as they arise
  • Fluent in the use of project tracking software (Restore 365)
  • May train technicians on remediation process skills
  • Responsible for project safety and PPE usage
Skill Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Experience in the restoration industry preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience utilizing mobile software and data entry
  • Able to lead a team and prioritize activities to meet schedule requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in training job skills
Certifications are not required but preferred:
  • WTR - Water Damage Restoration Technician
  • ASD - Applied Structural Drying Technician
