JOB FAMILYOperationsJOB TITLELean Manufacturing CoordinatorLOCATIONIowa CityREPORTS TOProduction ManagerPURPOSELead and manage lean manufacturing and 6S, for the primary machines, in the Iowa City facility.JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS* Bachelor's degree, or combination of education and experience to equal.* 4 to 6 years of manufacturing experience.* Previous experience in lean/6S principals.* Strong troubleshooting skills.* Must be self motivated and able to lead and drive change.* Solid computer skills.* Good organizational and interpersonal skills.* Knowledge of extrusion coating, silicone coating, printing and slitting processes preferred.PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Lead implementation and maintenance of Lean Manufacturing concepts.* Lead 6S implementation and maintenance in area of responsibility.* Train, mentor, and coach employees in lean manufacturing and 6S concepts.* Assist with equipment and process troubleshooting.* Coach and mentor employees on troubleshooting, equipment, and quality skills.* Utilize continuous improvement tools to implement process improvements that will reduce changeover times, waste, internal rejections, or improve throughput.* Develop and report appropriate metrics to drive improvement and sustain progress.* Investigate and implement corrective actions for quality or customer defects, process failures, or safety incidents/near misses.* Implement and maintain LDDS Boards and reporting per Loparex global standards.* Actively participate in safety committees.SECONDARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager.We are an equal opportunity employer.
