Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to manage and enhance our Learning Management System (LMS), develop engaging e-learning content, and support the continuous professional development of our employees. This role will be responsible for creating impactful training programs, improving employee skills in key areas such as leadership, communication, and technical expertise, and leveraging data to drive training effectiveness. The L&D Specialist will also play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous learning by introducing new self-paced learning options and ensuring seamless onboarding for new hires.

Essential Functions

LMS Administration (Workday):

  • Administer, configure, and maintain the Workday Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it meets the needs of the organization by delivering, tracking, and reporting on training activities.
  • Implement and monitor a robust tracking system for LMS usage, completion rates, and employee engagement.
  • Generate and provide reports identifying trends, progress, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical support for LMS users and troubleshoot any system issues to ensure smooth operation and accessibility.

eLearning Content Development:

  • Design and develop interactive, high-quality e-learning courses focusing on key skills in leadership, communication, and technical expertise.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve e-learning courses based on learner feedback and performance data.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create tailored, effective digital learning content that addresses organizational needs and goals.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in e-learning, LMS technologies, and talent development to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of employee learning.
  • Assist in the delivery of the new hire onboarding program to provide a seamless, engaging experience that helps new employees integrate smoothly into the company culture.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to training content, delivery methods, and technology to enhance employee engagement and learning outcomes.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in talent development, learning management, or e-learning content creation.
  • Proven experience administering and managing Workday LMS or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with e-learning development tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise, or similar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in designing and developing e-learning content and applying instructional design principles.
  • Familiarity with using training analytics and reporting tools to measure the effectiveness of learning programs.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions, including managers, and employees, to meet training and development needs.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Creative, innovative approach to learning design and delivery, with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Bilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish, is a plus.
