Learning Specialist - Jacksonville State University : Job Details

As part of a holistic strategic effort to support at-risk student athletes, this position provides individualized student support programming efforts that centers around learning strategies and academic skills. The Learning Specialist functions to ensure assigned students understand assignments in their courses, help them to develop an organizational system that will facilitate success in their courses, assists students in areas where there are some cognitive deficiencies, and helps coordinate with assigned academic counselors, tutors, and other Student Athlete Academic Support Team members to guarantee at-risk student athletes receive proper academic assistance. Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the primary learning specialist for a specific group of student-athletes.
