Bargaining Unit: UUP Job Summary: The School of Public Health at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Staff Associate / Learning Technology Support Coordinator. The Learning Technology Support Coordinator will work as a liaison / main point of contact for the faculty for the School of Public Health at SUNY Downstate. The incumbent will provide extensive support on development and maintenance of course sites along with facilitation to provide academic support within the department School of Public Health. Illustrative Duties
- Serve as the main point of contact for faculty within the department of School of Public Health.
- Provide support to faculty with the process to develop and maintain course site at the beginning of each semester. Tasks include but may not be limited to:

- Course copying between semesters
- Initial gradebook and Module setup
- Linking external materials.
- Supporting and developing test banks for quiz creation.
- Panopto video and caption editing.
- Survey integration for course evaluation and school wide announcements
- Responsible to provide Brightspace orientation for new faculty including one- on- one technical support sessions for existing faculty.
- Responsible to ensure course aligns with SUNY compliance criteria with online course quality review robotic (OSCQR)
- Additional support may include technical support such as:

- Train, schedule and supervise student assistants working in an AV support capacity, ensuring adequate coverage during instructional hours.
- Resolve AV and technology related incidents in faculty classrooms /faculty staff offices, conference rooms, library spaces and research labs.
- Provide basic instruction on the operation of AV equipment of faculty s necessary.
- Attend A/V training sessions.
- Serve as SPH Liaison to the Division of Information Services.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education (DOE) or internationally recognized accredited organization.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and AV technology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven track record/ ability to communicate technical concepts across a wide range of key stake holders.
