This position will be based at our Meherrin location in the Greenville, NC area.

The Company

From a base of 30 + locations across 8 states along the Eastern Seaboard, Meherrin services customers that produce several million acres of corn, cotton, fruit, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, tobacco, tree crops, turf, and vegetables. Job Purpose

Seeking motivated detail-oriented team player with leasing, leasing administrative background, to join the Meherrin family of Companies. The Equipment Leasing Specialist will be responsible for managing Meherrin's food and agricultural division's equipment leasing process from start to finish, including identifying potential lessees, negotiating lease terms, and ensuring all contractual obligations are met. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment leasing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors. The incumbent will report to the VP of Finance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The leasing specialist will be the key internal collaborator with Meherrin's VP of Finance and all financial institution leasing partners to timely & accurately execute leases across all divisions.
  • Lease proposal review & analysis / internal rate of return analysis.
  • Lead asset database reporting across all divisions / Document review for accuracy.
  • Tracking lease end dates and management of required notices of intentions at lease maturity.
  • Partner with Meherrin's fleet management team to ensure proper tagging & titling for applicable units.
  • Collaborate with internal partners across all divisions during the entire life cycle of lease.
  • Other special projects as assigned by VP of Finance, to potentially include implementation of Ramp Corporate card program and other cross divisional support.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Agriculture Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred. Five (5) years of relevant banking/finance/leasing or asset management experience.

Physical Demand

  • Requires the ability to use computer-based tools for planning and analysis on a frequent basis. May have to remain stationary for extended periods, but also needs to navigate through work areas.
  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing with managers, direct reports and colleagues.
