ESRT seeks an equally passionate colleague to join the team, understand the vision and help achieve that vision.POSITION SUMMARYThe Leasing Coordinator will work directly with and support the Chief Counsel, Real Estate, Real Estate Litigation Counsel and the Senior Real Estate Paralegal in handling a variety of legal aspects for real estate matters, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, financing, construction, operational, litigation, insurance and property tax matters.RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate the lease signing process, sublease consent process, and related approvals from other departments within the company.Draft basic legal documents related to leasing and commercial real estate matters.Review and provide abstracts of leases, memoranda and summaries regarding economic terms, landlord and tenant rights, remedies and/or obligations, critical dates.Provide status of all matters as requested.Update templates and form notices and agreements as needed.Provide support, track, and report as needed on leasing matters, real estate transactions (e.g., acquisitions, financings, etc.), litigation, insurance and tax matters.Assist with updates of standard operating procedures for all leasing related activities.Organize/file legal documents.Coordinate with Chief Counsel, Real Estate and Senior Real Estate Paralegal regarding follow up to complete outstanding matters.Assist in invoice processing through BrightFlag and Yardi platforms.Participate in monthly collection call meetings for tenant accounts across portfolio.Maintain agenda of action items and diligently follow up with internal departments and outside counsel to resolve open projects.Additional responsibilities as directed.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKEPositive attitude and willingness to follow guidelines and protocols.Takes ownership of work.Shows high level of professionalism and respect to colleagues.Is detail oriented and able to manage high volume of matters with accuracy and efficiency.Possesses strong organizational and communication skills.Has knowledge of real estate law and procedures.Eager to learn new matters, values importance of learning and improvement, recognizes importance of procedural and administrative tasks.Displays flexible approach to problem-solving.Ability to work collaboratively with multiple parties, including attorneys, real estate brokers and tenants.REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIESThree (3) + years' legal experience in real estate highly desirable.Must have ability to work in fast-paced environment with precision.Organizational and analytical skills, with a customer service orientation.Detail-oriented with an ingrained dedication to integrity of work product.Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.Commitment to professionalism, efficiency and personal growth.Time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.Grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).Willing to work after normal business hours when necessary.Enthusiastic with positive attitude.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in a related field.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesWHAT YOU CAN EXPECTAt ESRT, like our tenants, our employees come from everywhere.
