As our Leasing Director, you will work work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer to drive vision, provide direction to and lead the Leasing team, maximizing business opportunities through negotiations with brands.

What you will be doing

  • Defining the Leasing strategy in the Village.
  • Leading the Leasing team, consultants, brokers and counsel, and oversee the Remerchandising program with the aim of continually improving the performance and positioning of the Village.
  • Being responsible for the Leasing team's performance and development.
  • Developing productive and positive working relationships within the leadership team in order to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Village.
  • Partnering with Leasing Directors of other Villages in order to mutually leverage contacts with brands in your respective markets.
  • Prospecting, selling and negotiating financial, commercial and legal terms to close deals with strategically identified brands.
  • Overseeing the legal and commercial negotiations and documentation of all deals for the Village.
  • Extending the relationship with the brand to the Retail team, providing insights on the shop-fit process after the deal has been signed.
  • Providing continuity with the brand to build a strong, long-term relationship that drives performance at the Village; fostering a group relationship whereby the brand may expand their presence within The Bicester Collection.
  • Ensuring that strategic and operational plans and budgets will be compiled, agreed to and executed by the leadership team following sign-off by senior management.
  • Working with the Retail Director to drive the ongoing remerchandising process of upgrading the mix of brands at the Villages.
  • Partnering with the Retail Director to support and enhance the services provided to the brands and deepen the brand relationships.
  • Supporting the achievement of budgeted sales targets.

  • Proven international experience in the commercial real estate field, or the development of stores, franchises or brands.

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to persuade brand decision makers from a variety of countries, cultures and disciplines.
  • Rigor and attention to detail in all aspects of negotiations and deal-closing.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work with an agile and open mind in a complex and multinational work environment alongside high-performing and strong-minded colleagues.
  • A good critical thinker who has drive, energy and ideas to bring to the role.
  • A genuine interest in, and in-depth understanding of, luxury fashion and up-market brands.
  • Fluency in English; any other languages would be advantageous.
