Summary
* This position is primarily responsible (spends approx. 75-95% of time) as the designated coordinator of Family Medical Leave (FML) and organizational Leaves of Absences (LOA). The other 5-25% of the time they will assist in the delivery of other Employee Health Nurse functions including activities such as: Vaccinating, screening, phlebotomy, and assists in the delivery and documentation of care for our caregivers. This includes sharing periodic coverage as the on call Employee Health Nurse for the department; and assistance in coverage during vacation or brief absences of other employee health nurses.

Duties
* Receives and determines employee qualification eligibility for requested leaves following federal, state, or local regulations/rules as well as internal standards.
* As applicable, obtains completed request forms needed to certify leave process including: physician certification or other form, etc, based on leave type from certifying individual; recertification forms as applicable, return to work releases, and other relevant documentation in order to manage a leave.
* Corresponds with requestors, leaders, providers, and talent agents regarding request/claim status throughout the process with required or necessary correspondence in order to classify the leave around approval, denial, extension, re-certification, expiration, etc.
* Prepares and maintains metrics to track the status of FMLA/LOA: request types, category of leave, frequency, trends, etc.
* Provides routine Employee Health Nurse functions in the delivery of routine services by assisting other nurses and providing periodic department call coverage.
Qualifications
* Graduate of a school of nursing program.
* Current Missouri State license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
* Current experience in a health care (e.g. acute, long-term care or clinic) setting. Supervisory experience helpful. Prior work with or ability to learn and apply Family Medical Leave Act law necessary for ongoing successful job performance. The framework for this role includes not only nursing science, but also medical science, the occupational health sciences of toxicology, industrial hygiene and regulated leave laws. Knowledge of epidemiology, environmental health and legal/ethical compliance (e.g. federal & state, etc.) including employer-sponsored benefit programs solidify the competency of this position.
