We are working with an industry-leading project management and consulting firm seeking a Benefits Specialist with deep expertise in Leave of Absence (LOA) management, compliance, and process optimization. We are seeking a seasoned Benefits Specialist to take ownership of the LOA administration, enhancing processes, ensuring compliance, and automating workflows for improved efficiency. This role is crucial in shaping the long-term roadmap for LOA management while managing day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage daily LOA activities and inquiriesRefine and rebuild LOA policies, SOPs, and workflowsPartner with HRIS teams to automate and streamline LOA processesEnsure compliance with state-mandated leave requirements (CA, NY, WA, MI)Analyze current frameworks and implement best practicesProvide strategic insight and roadmap planning for future improvementsAct as the primary contact for employees and stakeholders on LOA mattersCollaborate with leadership to support a seamless transition for the returning benefits team memberQualifications:
Extensive experience in LOA design, administration, and complianceStrong knowledge of multi-state leave laws (CA, NY, WA, MI)Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platformsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational and communication skillsPrior experience managing multi-state LOA programsCertifications (CEBS, SHRM, PHR) are a plus but not requiredSeniority level
