Job Description :
This is a full-time position that works closely with the Benefits and Payroll Supervisor to assist in the administration of leave benefits within the True companies. The position is responsible for maintaining a good working knowledge of current laws and regulations, including state and federal (including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Department of Labor (DOL), Federal Civil Rights Laws, etc.; and will research, learn, stay up-to-date on, and share information with Benefits team members about emerging employment law and regulations. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Responsibilities - Works closely with Benefits and Payroll Supervisor to administer leave programs including FMLA, ADA, and Short-Term Disability. FMLA, ADA, and Short-Term Disability Administration; processes paperwork, maintains contact, and manages deadlines. Tracks all employees on leave and keeps abreast of most recent status; works with various departments to resolve employee leave issues. Notifies Benefits and Payroll Supervisor of all possible FMLA leaves and assists with FMLA eligibility and determinations. Prepares form letters to communicate with employees regarding FMLA, ADA, and Short-Term Disability; obtains appropriate signatures. Tracks employee FMLA leave balances and periodically reviews for accuracy. Assists supervisors and managers with FMLA and ADA procedures. Maintains appropriate record keeping for FMLA and ADA files. Ensures record-keeping regulations and/or requirements are being upheld. Researches, learns, and stays up-to-date on emerging employment law; shares information with HR team members. Research FMLA and ADA compliance changes and regulations from all information received through the internet, mail, publications, and from the legal department; conveys information to the Benefits and Payroll Supervisor. Communicates and works with professional, technical, and field personnel. Performs related duties as assigned. Qualifications - An Associate's Degree in a related business field with two (2) years of position-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Ability to handle sensitive data and maintain confidentiality of sensitive human resource information at all times. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with professional, technical, and field personnel. English language fluency, verbal and written. Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
