Position: Facilities Maintenance TechnicianClassification: Full-time, Hourly EmployeeSalary: $17 - $32 (Commensurate on level of skill and experience)Typical Schedule: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM; M-FBenefits: Health Insurance, Life Insurance; Paid time off including 15 holidays, vacation and sick leave; IMRF retirement; Longevity Bonus every 5 yearsLee County is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team! The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for a variety of general maintenance duties which include electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and construction in the maintenance and repair of County facilities and equipment; ensures the repair, cleanliness and safety of all county building and grounds; cross trained to perform all functions of custodian personnel when necessary.On a day-to-day basis Technicians:Inspect the County facilities for deficienciesCompletes Preventative Maintenance schedulesCompletes Work Requests in a timely mannerOur ideal candidate will:Possess a valid Illinois Driver's License (required)Possess a High School Diploma or GED (required)Have previous experience in construction or maintenance fieldBe reliable, hard-working, and self-motivated team playerHave attention to detailBe able to work with minimal supervisionPossess the ability to understand and follow directions given either verbally or in writing.Have good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to complete assignments within given time constraints.Background and security clearance is required for this position.
