Responsibilities:
- Process check requests for legal invoices, annual report filings and expense reports.
- Prepare operating agreements, management agreements by laws and similar documents.
- Prepare all documents necessary to organize/qualify and keep entities in good standing.
- Obtain tax identification numbers.
- Maintain entity files and entity calendar.
- Enter critical dates for annual reports and litigation matters in SharePoint calendar and update as needed.
- Prepare preliminary drafts of form documents under the supervision of a paralegal including certificates and resolutions, estoppels and SNDAs, and routine transmittals.
- Download, print and organize title documents in DMS.
- Prepare title review matrix for completion by paralegal.
- Prepare and track overnight shipments.
- Maintain Legal Assignment spreadsheet and prepare weekly critical date report/meeting agenda for Legal Team.
- Participate in pool of staff who provide backup for receptionist.
Requirements:
- Proficient in all proprietary and non-proprietary software and systems utilized by the Company; willingness to modify work habits to new methodologies as they are adopted.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while delivering consistent, quality work product.
- Demonstrate intelligence, good business judgment, and common sense.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive and a self-starter in thought and action.
- This is an on-site position, in Oak Brook, Monday-Friday.
