This includes reviewing the financial institution's response to the complaint, writing a brief synopsis of the dispute, and sending the consumer the appropriate letter to close the case. Respond to phone inquiries and written inquiries from consumers regarding their complaint or general issues they may have with a financial services company. Inform consumers of complaint filing procedures or refer them to another government agency, if appropriate. Code incoming new consumer complaints and send out the proper initial letters. Identify cases requiring prioritization and refer them to a supervisor for assignment. For new financial services respondents not already in our system, research the entity's DFS license status, applicable government regulator, and obtain the institution's contact information to handle the complaint. Work collegially and collaboratively as a team in support of handling and resolving consumer financial services complaints.
