Legal Associate (New York, NY): Our client, a leading SEC-registered investment advisor with over $15B in assets, is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented lawyer to join their Legal & Compliance team. Responsibilities:
- Lead the negotiation of assignment, participation, subscription, limited partnership, and other critical transactional agreements related to investments made by the firm's investment management clients.
- Support the legal structuring and oversight of SMAs, including the negotiation of offering documents and agreements with ancillary service providers.
- Draft and negotiate side letters on behalf of the firm's clients.
- Support project management and oversee outside counsel engagements, while assisting with ad-hoc legal tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience as an attorney specializing in the Investment Management and Private Funds sector within a law firm.
- Expertise in the formation of private markets funds.
- Highly detail-oriented with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proactive team player with a strong work ethic, independent and critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation: $175-225k base. Up to $270k all in
