Location of Position: Hanover, NHFeldberg LibraryMurdough 101 Remote Work Eligibility?: Onsite only Is this a term position?: No If yes, length of term in months.: N/A Is this a grant funded position?: No Position Purpose: Provides a wide range of access, collections, and patron services in Feldberg Business & Engineering Library as a co-lead of Feldberg's access services team. Manages student employees. Provides interlibrary loan and document delivery services. Provides and coordinates support for Feldberg equipment and technology. Works closely with, cross-trains, and provides back-up for access services team partner as needed.Description: Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp: Bachelors plus 1-2 year(s) of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: •2 plus years of work experience in public service, and a strong public service ethic.•Strong supervisory and organizational skills.•Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact effectively with library patrons and work collaboratively with staff.•Able to work independently and with good judgement, and to set and modify work priorities.•Proficient with standard computer equipment and office productivity software. Preferred Qualifications: •Experience with library public services and technical services operations.•Facility in learning and adopting new technologies. Coordinates procedures and aligns policies with Access Services staff across the Libraries. Helps manage administrative aspects of Feldberg Library's facility and daily operations. Percentage Of Time: 35 Description: Hires, trains, schedules, and supervises student staff for Feldberg Library. Percentage Of Time: 30 Description: Manages, maintains, and troubleshoots Feldberg equipment and technology, coordinating with information technology staff as needed. Provides technology maintenance and support to Feldberg staff and student employees. Percentage Of Time: 15 Description: Supports and fulfills interlibrary loan and document delivery requests for patrons, including requests for specialized materials. Coordinates procedures and aligns policies with Resource Sharing staff across the Libraries. Percentage Of Time: 10 Description: Participates in departmental planning, goal-setting, and discussions related to activities and projects, policies, and improvements to services. Contributes to the work of groups or committees on library-wide initiatives and projects. Percentage Of Time: 5 Description: Actively engages in ongoing professional development.
