Library Aide II - City of Dallas Oregon : Job Details

This is a public service position with responsibility to maintain the operation of the circulation desk and reference desk and the maintenance of the Library collection. This position achieves a positive impact with patrons as the library's primary contact with the public; promotes library programs and services and works to assure efficient and friendly service to library patrons. This position may assist in maintaining the web pages for the Library and other departments of the City. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Attends the circulation desk and performs all circulation desk duties; promotes library materials usage, programs and services; directs patrons to proper stations of information or service; orders circulation supplies as needed. Attends the reference desk and provides reference and research services for patrons as necessary, refers patrons as necessary.
