Position Type: Support Staff/Library Media AssistantDate Posted: 9/10/2024Location: Rivers Edge Academy Charter SchoolDate Available: 09/24/2024The library technician will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the resource library, as well as forming a system to keep track of items that are checked-out/returned. The library technician will assist parents, K-12 students, academy teachers, and homeschool education specialists to find appropriate curriculum. Applicants must have a good sense of curriculum and resources. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide quality customer service
  • Provides technical support to users by researching and answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining workstation.
  • Provides answers to clients by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding clients through corrective steps
  • Review, analyze, and process orders for fulfillment within deadlines
  • Answer inquiries regarding student materials, online programs, and learning center classes with a high-level of professionalism, including proper grammar/punctuation
  • Improves client references by writing and maintaining documentation.
  • Maintain inventory in all appropriate databases (e.g. Alexandria)
  • Work with businesses and individuals to properly answer vendor inquiries
  • Assist all vendors/businesses/staff with questions/concerns, as needed
  • Analyze and process year-end student inventories to ensure compliance with use of public funds
  • Fill student technology orders (Chromebooks, laptops, HotSpots)
  • Manage all technology checked out to students and teachers throughout the year
  • Manage Purchasing Orders System
  • Collaborate and write technical procedures, as assigned
  • Manage rollover processes in systems using rostering i.e. Clever, Canvas, etc.
  • Collaborate with external software contractors to update systems, as assigned
  • Provide technical support on all software programs that are used by internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide technical training to all staff and vendors, as assigned
  • Creating a safe and productive learning environment for all students
  • Support the implementation and execution of a culture system that holds all students to high expectations, promotes joy across campus, and utilizes restorative practices to address behaviors
  • Understands and integrates the community's diverse cultural, social and intellectual resources
  • Safeguards the values of democracy, equity and diversity
  • Promotes continuous and sustainable improvement
  • Builds and sustains positive relationships with families and learning coaches

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT
  • Highly organized
  • 2 years minimum administrative experience
  • 2-5 years of experience working online with multiple technology platforms
  • Be able to multitask and shift priorities quickly
  • Excellent computer skills
