Responsible for patron service in the branch library, including circulating materials, providing reference assistance, presenting children's programming, and managing the branch in the absence of the branch manager or assistant branch manager. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages branch in the absence of branch manager/assistant manager and serves as resource to subordinate personnel. Provides circulation, reference, and readers' advisory services, and homework assistance. Assists patrons with the use of the public computers, printers and photocopiers. Prepares cash reports, collects statistics, maintains bulletin boards and other signage and performs opening and closing routines. Maintains the collection by processing new materials and assists in shelving and shelf-reading. Prepares and presents children's programming in-house and in the community.
