Library Assistant
The Junction City Public Library is looking for a friendly and dependable Library Assistant to join our team. This part-time position involves a variety of tasks, including assisting patrons at the circulation desk, helping with library programs, and supporting daily operations. You will assist with checking in and out materials, answering inquiries, and handling library accounts and financial transactions. The role also includes organizing and shelving materials, maintaining library displays, and helping with administrative tasks like data entry and inventory.
You will play an important role in supporting library events, such as the Summer Reading Program. A willingness to learn new systems and a passion for customer service are key for success in this position.
This is a 18-hour per week role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with the public and is eager to contribute to a welcoming community space. Basic knowledge of computers and social media, along with a friendly attitude, will help you thrive in this position.
