Job Summary:This 25-hour per week position performs circulation and customer service functions. Answers directional questions and refers customers to appropriate materials. Assists Librarian with programming for children and is comfortable carrying out the program.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-Performs circulation duties, such as checking materials in and out, handling bills and notices, placing items on hold, processing courier delivery, processing a variety of reports, and account maintenance.-Assists patrons with reference, computer, and equipment questions and support.-Assists Librarian in planning children's programs, storytimes, and outreach activities, and then carrying out the program that was planned.-Serves on internal and external committees and workgroups.-Shelves materials.-Seek donations and support for Summer Reading program.-Collecting crates of materials for patrons/organizations utilizing the delivery service.-Prepares bulletin boards and other displays.
