Library Director - Joliet Public Library : Job Details

Joliet Public Library is seeking a full-time Library Director. Library experience would be preferable. Library hours are Tuesday – Friday 10:00 – 5:00, Saturday 10:00 – 2:00. · Must possess a minimum of 2 years of continuous work experience in a library OR have completed or are working toward completion of the Montana certification program for library administrator track OR possess a degree in library science · Must possess a working knowledge of the operation of technical & electronic equipment located in the library including desktop computers and electronic reading devices.

Duties include: · Running day-to-day library operation including organizing and managing the current collection and purchasing new materials · Supervising 3 part-time employees as well as adult & youth volunteers · Interacting with and instructing patrons on availability of materials both in the library and through interlibrary loan and in using Montana Library 2Go · Compiling daily, monthly and annual statistics for use by the Joliet Public Library Board, the Carbon County Library Board and the Montana State Library, as requested · Sitting, stooping, walking, standing and lifting up to 20 pounds will be required of this person.
