The ACT team provides mobile, community-based mental health services that promote recovery and community reintegration for individuals facing severe mental health challenges, high rates of co-occurring substance use disorders, trauma, homelessness, and legal justice involvement. The team works with individuals on parole, probation, those returning from incarceration, and participants in alternative-to-incarceration programs. Traditional clinic-based treatments have not met the complex needs of this population, necessitating a more flexible, responsive approach.
